For Women

It might seem really unfair, but for women, shedding fat is harder than for men. Body composition is a major factor in this as men tend to have much more muscle mass than women. When it comes to fat loss, muscle is vital. It's demand for energy means an increased BMR (Basal metabolic rate). To put it simply, the more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn even when lounging around. Lean people can quite literally be fat burning machines!

The types of fats our bodies are made up of vary as well. Women tend to have more subcutaneous (the fat under the skin), which can lead to cellulite. It's also the kind of fat that will wobble as opposed to the visceral fat that men tend to have more of which is deeper inside the body.

Hormones also play a massive part in body composition, and your diet and exercise routine can affect this, both in good and bad ways depending on your routine.

Fat loss may be harder for women, but it is certainly still acheivable. And with our knowledge and experience with female clients you are guaranteed results.
